Basketmouth says there is room for growth

Bright Okpocha, a Nigerian comedian who is popularly known by the stage
name Basketmouth. Even with a setback of a joke he made in 2014 about
Nigerian women deserving to be raped if on their second date they refuse
sex on second date. This joke cost him to be dropped as one of the
ambassadors of the European Union (EU) campaign against sexual and
gender-based violence in Nigeria. This made some Nigerians on twitter to
advocate that Basketmouth was not fit to represent women and their
challenges.

Taking to his Instagram, he wrote how thankful he is and how
he has learnt to fight to be the head at the top.

"As the decade comes to an end there are so many things I'm thankful for.
Most important, I could have picked the easy way and become the head at
the bottom but I've learnt to fight to be the head at the top. I'm not
there yet, but that remains the goal," Basketmouth wrote.
