Neem tree and it's benefits

Azadirachta indica which is commonly known neem tree is traditionally known for it's herbal use in many African countries.

The Northern part of Nigeria has discovered the importance of the tree which is called 'Dogo Yaro' and it is highly planted. It is used as an herb and for preventing erosion.

It has antibiotic, antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties and antioxidant activity. Because of these properties they are use to cure and treat different ailments.

The different parts of the neem tree are important. They can be taken orally raw or cooked. Though the leave has a bitter taste but the flower is not.

A research as shown that the alcoholic extract of neem flower to be an
effective contraceptive. Neem has ability of immobilizing sperm.

Treat dandruff and hair breakage
It help to treat dandruff, stop breakage and also strengthen hair.
Boil neem leave in water, allow to cool. After using shampoo on your
hair, wash hair with the cooled water. You can also apply neem oil on
your scalp. Leave for 15 minutes then wash.

Treatment of headache
Make a paste of been leaves and rub on the forehead and also drink the tea.

Treatment of malaria and typhoid fever. It is well practice in Northern part of Nigeria, neem leaves are boiled, and pour into a bucket. The person with the fever use wrapper to cover himself/ herself with the bucket of hot neem water until the water gets warm. The person also drink the water. This will be done three times in a day until the fever is gone.

Treatment of eye irritation
Boil neem leave, allow to cool. Use the neem tea to wash the eyes.

Cures skin disorder
Mix a paste of neem with a powder of tumeric, it is more effective if tumeric is added. Apply on the affected area.

Treatment of insect bite
Make a paste and rub on affected area.

Cures acne and dark spot
Mix 3 drops of neem oil with water. Apply on your face.

Neem oil is good for anti-aging
Application of neem oil help to nourish the the skin and rejuvenate the skin.

Treats swollen gum and whitethen teeth
Boil the bark of neem tree, apply to cool. Use the water to rinse mouth.
Also use the twig to brush teeth, whithens teeth. Also help to keep
bacteria away.

Treat ulcers
Drinking of neem tea is known to cure ulcers. It can be eaten raw.

Treatment of infection
It has anti-bacteria property, use in treating infection.

Use to cure skin disease
Has anti-fungi bacteria, use to treat infections and skin disease.

Taking neem tea help to boost the immune system. It can also be taken raw.
