Driverless bullet train goes into service in China
In China, a new driverless train capable of travelling at 350kph has just open. The high-speed bullet train connects Beijing with Zhangjiakou, the
two main host of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Other facilities which some of the trains have include touch-screen
control panels, wireless charging docks, lighting and they are "smart",
offering onboard 5G.
With over 2500 sensors onboard to collect data and detect any operational
abnormalities.
With this high speed bullet train, the journey time of three hours has
been reduced to 47 minutes.
The Jing-Zhang high -speed railway also stops at Yanqing city, along with
seven other stations, which include Badaling Chang Cheng, home to one of
the great Wall of China's most popular sections.

services going between Beijing and Zhangjiakou every day.
The line took four years to construct, is part of China's preparation for
hosting it's first Winter Olympics. With this in mind , the trains have
been designed with features like extra storage space for sports equipment
and a dining car that can be converted into a mobile media center for
journalists covering the Game.

world and almost equivalent to the cruising speed of commercial planes.
