Bola Ahmed Tinubu Sworn In As 16th President Of Nigeria

The President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been administered with the oath of office by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola.

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola administered the oath of office to Bola AhmedTinubu and his deputy, Kashim Shettima.

“I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, do solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria that I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, help me, God,” the new President swore.

Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election after he defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election. He scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, making chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu to declare him the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
