Alex Ekubo Announces His Second Home With No Twitter Ban

 

Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo has taken to social media to announce that Cameroon is fast becoming his second home. He has also invited his other colleagues to join him.

According to the actor, there's constant electricity and he can tweet. The use of Twitter has been banned in Nigerian with telecommunications companies heeding to the government's directive and blocked the micro-blogging site.But in Cameroon the actor disclosed he won't encounter such problem.

Some weeks ago, the Nigerian government  announced the ban the use of Twitter in the country. This happened after government alleged that the micro-blogging site was being used to undermine "Nigeria's corporate existence" through the insemination of fake news that have negative impact on the nation.

The ban drew an angry reaction from many Nigerians, especially the youth who are the highest user of Twitter. Some Nigerians have resort to using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to bypass the ban.

"Cameroon is fast becoming my second home. At least there is constant electricity & I can Tweet. As musicians don carry Ghana, Oya Nollywood make we face Cameroon 🇨🇲 ❤️," he wrote.
