Why Mr Eazi and I Chose Iceland for Our White Wedding — Temi Otedola

 

Temi Otedola, now known as Temi Ajibade, disclosed that she and her husband, Mr. Eazi, chose Iceland for their white wedding because they fell in love with the country's people, nature, and energy during their first trip there in 2021. They wanted to share this special place with their loved ones, making it an intimate and meaningful celebration. 

Temi shared clips from their intimate white wedding reception in Iceland, revealing why they chose this stunning location for the grand finale of their wedding celebrations.

“Welcome to Iceland !! Since our first trip in 2021, we fell in love with the people, nature and energy of this country, so for our White Wedding celebrations, we decided to share our special place with our special people.”

Temi described their wedding ceremony as 'really emotional,' sharing how she felt during the traditional wedding ceremony, “I think we both were in the headspace of it being a day to celebrate our families and culture, but the realization of how profound it was set in as soon as we both walked out. In Nigerian traditional ceremonies you sit and dress according to the family you're representing, but on both sides everyone was immediately teary eyed.”

Temi also expressed the bittersweet feeling of leaving her childhood home and family to start a new life with her husband.

“Sitting with my parents for what is symbolically the last time before they send me to my new family particularly hit home for me.”
