Nollywood actress and box office queen Toyin Abraham is opening up about how life changed after crossing the billion-naira mark.

In a candid reflection shared on her social media, the Malaika and Ijakumo producer revealed what happened to her after she made over ₦1B.

Toyin, who became one of the few Nigerian filmmakers to gross over ₦1 billion in cinemas, said the milestone shifted more than just her bank account. According to her, the success forced her to reevaluate her circle, her peace, and her priorities.

“Money exposes people. Success exposes intentions,” she hinted, noting that not everyone around her celebrated the win genuinely. “Now I move different. I choose peace over pressure. I choose loyalty over clout.”

The actress has had a record-breaking run since 2022, with Ijakumo pulling ₦296M and Malaika crossing ₦300M. Her December 2024 release, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, pushed her into the ₦1B cumulative club a feat only a handful of Nollywood producers have achieved.
