Blue Ivy just won her first songwriting award

Blue Ivy Carter, seven years old Beyonce and Jay-Z daughter just won a
songwriting award for contributing to her mom's track "Brown Skin Girl"
with Guyanese Saint Jhn and Nigerian Wizkid.The song was sent to top
40/Rhythmic radio on July 23, 2019.

At the 2019 Soul Train Awards on Sunday, Blue Ivy was awarded the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter's Award.  Seven year old Blue Ivy has linked up with her mother on many of her previous songs.

The "Brown Skin Girl" which was released in July 23, 2019 was part of
beyonce's The Lion King: The gift album. Blue Ivy's vocals are also
featured at the beginning and end of the song with the lyrics "Brown skin
girl, your skin just like pearls, the best thing in the world, never
trade you for anyboby else."

This is Blue Ivy first credit for her contribution to the track.
"Brown Skin Girl" is an inspiration from the lion king, and a message from Beyonce to insecure brown skin girls.
